Welcome To Big Reggae Mix In 2019! Jah Bless!

​Welcome to Big Reggae Mix! Can you believe it? We are now in our 4th full year of non-stop 24/7 streaming! As we continue to track our listener's worldwide over 80% of the listeners are outside of America. 

Over the past year as we have continued to build our audience I have sincerely wondered to myself, “What is it about the Reggae Genre that inspires so much diversity of followers?”

The answer I discovered was “Freedom of Thought.” There is actually a project called “Freedom of Thought,” and through their analysis, they look at how free people are regarding their own thoughts. Here is a little clip about their research:

“Our findings show that the overwhelming majority of countries fail to respect the rights of humanists, atheists and the non-religious. For example, there are laws that deny atheists’ right to identify, revoke their right to citizenship, restrict their right to marry, obstruct their access to or experience of public education, prohibit them from holding public office, prevent them from working for the state, or criminalize the expression of their views on and criticism of religion. In the worst cases, the state or non-state actors may execute the non-religious for leaving the religion of their parents, may deny the rights of atheists to exist, or may seek total control over their beliefs and actions.”

Within America’s DNA and written directly into the U.S. Constitution is Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Regardless of your lifestyle, belief system and upbringing, we all have the right to pursue our own path. 

The Reggae Genre is all a big part of that path, at least in this producer's opinion.
